It's been a good news/bad news week...

the good news is that we are making a good deal on our vacation property in Door County, WI. My husband's niece is buying the property, keeping it in the family and giving him a big chunk of money for it. The deal will be expedited and wrapped up very soon. A financial sigh of relief for us...

The bad news is our dearest friend has been told by his doctors that he will be in a wheel chair for the rest of his life (he is now 67). He is getting along with his walker but can no longer drive. That means we won't be seeing him socially unless his daughter brings him (he lives alone and that scares me a LOT). His spinal stenosis surgery is being scheduled for early April. My husband had that surgery (was also told he would be in a wheelchair unless he did) and is improving with physical therapy twice a week. My husband outlined the whole experience to him and what services he can and should arrange for.

It's been one helluva week...
