And it was conceived just days after his breakout perf at Monterey Pop (that of Hendrix's National Anthem fame) ... Pretty sure it was released just days after his tragic demise in a plane crash ... Otis was a major, major talent, gone way too soon.

This song is parcel of the very fabric of American Music (and even America period), man. It doesn't get much more classic. Written by Otis, and the equally genius Steve Cropper ... inter-racial collaboration at it's finest.
