I use a recipe w/o corn syrup for my pecan pies and it's not as sweet and has a nice texture.

i mixed wild blueberries w/ everything last year. even cherry. except apple. never do those.

I'm not a baker, but my mother was. She made great pies, apple, cherry, pecan, mincemeat, pumpkin, chocolate cream, but I never once remember her making blueberry.

Cook Book I received as a wedding present...1967.

First dessert I made.

Have been making it since. So much better with fresh raspberries
and fresh rhubarb.

In fact, not just my favorite pie, but one of my all-time favorite desserts

I always make one for myself for my birthday. I'm fortunate that peaches are in season that time of year.

Anything peach.... LOVE IT

Lemon or chocolate cream

I picked up 2 mini tarts at La Madeline one lemon and one chocolate. We will each have half of one for dessert tonight after the Mulligatawny SOup

I'm fussy about apple. Homemade is so differen than a bakery.

I will enjoy pumpkin made in a grocery store, but apple has to be homemade.

I don't miss the Las Vegas buffets so much except for the daily availability of pies like that. Caesar's Palace always surprised me by fielding key lime pie.

I also love apple pie a la mode but the ice cream has to be cold and not warmed up. I can't imagine ruining that pie via a drippy ice cream puddle.
