Defintion of a Nice Guy

(Christchurch is a city in NewZealand)

Okay, so I use to work in a fast food restaurant in christchurch in the 90's.

Last Night I had a dream, that i was back there, and it bought back a real life incident that happened at work there.
So, we had a manager there that was beyond terrible, I may of posted about the guy before, but anyway, during this shift, this manager was in fine form. He was going off at everybody, me included, but more so to this young crew member, it was to the stage this guy was literally shaking.

The SHIFT manager at the time was this young guy around 22, extremely good looking, he was running the shift that night. (there was several shift managers that worked at this store)

It was getting to the stage, that the horrible manager look like he was going to cross a boundary and get physical with people.
Now, the shift ended, the crew worker that night that got bullied the most (I had been in his position before) was nearly in tears, as he went to leave the store, the shift manager just smiled at the guy and told him to have a good night.

So up in the break room, my fellow workers were going on AND ON What a nice guy the SHIFT MANAGER, was for wishing the bullied person a nice night, and how he was a great guy.

Myself being a gutless jelly fish with no spine, didnt say anything, but always thought....

Hang on, thats not being a nice guy, he was in a position of power and did nothing at all, said nothing to the other manager, he did the least amount possible.

My definition of a nice guy would be someone who is selfless, someone who would put himself out there, even though there may be no benefit for himself whatsoever.

But because this guy was a good looking guy, he was considered to be a nice guy.

I wanted to say "Actually a nice guy would've called "the shift manager" aside and tell him leave the crew alone, a nice guy would contact the STORE manager and the owners and tell them this is unacceptable, and that there was nothing nice about doing nothing.

I just though because of this guys Genetics, he will breeze thru life, having to do nothing, yet people will tell him how great that is.

My question is, what is your definition of a nice guy and also, do people who are considered extremely attractive of both genders have it easier?
