Why would a cat come to my window, I'm in the basement so they are right at eye level,

and start wailing? My cats are huffing and puffing in response. But why is the outside cat making such noise? Oh, now my cat is wailing. They are like a pack of wolves.

A week later she went into heat. A tom howled on the fire escape all night. I was given the choice of getting rid of the cat or moving.
