and start wailing? My cats are huffing and puffing in response. But why is the outside cat making such noise? Oh, now my cat is wailing. They are like a pack of wolves.

Heat: Please trap her and get her fixed. Look for low cost feral neuter/spay in your area.

A week later she went into heat. A tom howled on the fire escape all night. I was given the choice of getting rid of the cat or moving.
