1. Why isn't the Somerville Circle in NJ on this list?

It has various speed limits, yield signs 3 lanes over and overpsss entrances and exits.

Those are its good points.

3. I haven't been there in years, but it was worse than it looks there. Once, I rear-ended...

someone who slammed on the brakes trying to figure it out. Cop was right there on the side just waiting for the daily wreck.

6. Roundabouts should be outlawed and anyone thinking of building one jailed.

Okay, this is a slight exaggeration, but not by much.

Just give me an intersection where you go right, left or straight ahead any day.

Who needs the unnecessary complexity and uncertainty of roundabouts?

5. There are three circles in Riverhead, Long Island...

Everyone knows about the big one down by the County Center, but where Old Country Rd meets Roanoke Ave is more fun. One corner has a large hospital, another has the busiest 7-11 in the county, maybe the state, and there are shopping centers a-plenty. The two roads are primary routes through town. Weekly wrecks, often deaths.

There was a Pizza Hut on one corner, but it closed last year when the third car drove into the side of the building.

7. Look kids, Big Ben...Parliament

Traffic planners love roundabouts. Keeps traffic moving, less pollution.

8. They are popping up in Upper Michigan and I like them.

I believe there's now 4 in Marquette and 2 in Ishpeming.
