My daughter's high school is doing the musical Shrek this week.
They changed a few lines for Lord Farquaad in the show (voiced by John Lithgow in the original movie)
The young man playing Farquaad is terrific, and towards the end of the musical, Farquaad is confronted about something and instead of the response of "That's a lie!" or something similar to that, the character says "Fake News!" instead. The line generated huge laughs from the audience.
Since the movie is 17 years old now, it's not really a spoiler that fairy tale creature hating Farquaad is really the son of a fairy tale creature, one of the 7 Dwarfs. When Farquaad is denying his dwarven heritage, he mentions that he has "big hands" as well.
But, it did make me think that while Trump himself is nearly ogre-sized, his personality and mental capability really seems to be pretty small and petty, and he is certainly overcompensating like Farquaad by building a huge phallic shaped castle (Trump Tower) and bragging about his hand size or his intelligence.
