Likely will not see my daughter for a few years now

She’s about to land at Ramstein and then on to her new post at Baumholder. It’s going to be an exciting time for her. Far better from her self-described “hellhole” at Ft Bragg.

But it’s a bit more than an 8-9hr drive!

Thankful to have things like Skype and FaceTime and WiFi to be able to talk and “see”, though.

Who knows, maybe we’ll be able to swing a trip over there before her next move!

We were there at Rhein Mein in the 70s.
Weather reminded me a lot of where I am now in Washington State..not quite as much rain.

All the military money is going to the Air Force and Navy for expensive ships and planes we already have too many of. Meanwhile we are hit by cyber attacks by modern militaries. Our gunpowder and steel military is obsolete.

But my foreign exchange student daughter. We Skype all the time. Even though she married with a few kids now and lives back in Serbia. When you can see them, for some reason it feels better.

Go for the Christmas holidays and see the market. I always wanted to see that. If she lives off base, we'll you'll have a place to sleep.

It's a beautiful country with a tremendously rich history and culture. The people are friendly and inviting and the food is awesome.

These days, there are airfares to Europe that are ridiculously cheap. We flew to Ireland last summer for $198 per person, roundtrip! Use an online travel service and you'll find great hotels at low prices.

Your daughter will love to see you. Added benefit: you get away from Trump for a week!

She was due awards and recognition and continued to be delayed and slighted.

The whole area around there is pretty nice and the locals are friendly. Heildelberg and Luxemberg are both easy day trips. Lots to see and do around there.
