It's the actor. I hate his portrayal. I hate his wooden manner, his sad-sack personality and his shitty accent.

The sexual tension between her and Lord Melbourne as PM (Rufus Sewell!!!) was fun until Albert came along.
He seems weak by comparison and not sexy at all. I know, I know - that's what he looked like. But stil.....

Albert was known to be very sensitive. And it was really his stiff-necked prudery that exemplified the era named for his wife, not hers.
