I love the big horse breeds. I used to ride huge, 17 hand, black Belgian mare named AC when I was taking English Hunter-Jumper lessons. She had hooves the size of breakfast plates! She was surprisingly agile and it was a real treat to ride her. I always felt like a medieval knight!

I once rode a 17.2 hand Thoroughbred gelding. He was not just tall, he was also built really big. Jumping over cross rails in the riding ring was like flying when mounted on such a steed! Thankfully, I never fell off one of the really big horses.
