and Matters of Great Importance were considered.

From http://meetmeatmikes.com/ann-lockley-of-skokholm/

This is Ann Lockley (now Ann Mark) taking tea with a baby hawk and a lobster. Ann lived on the island of Skokholm, where her family were the only inhabitants and animals were pals. This photo was taken for a 1938 National Geographic story ‘We Live Alone and Like It — On An Island’.

Ann’s father was the late Welsh naturalist and author Ronald Lockley. His detailed studies of rabbits inspired the book Watership Down. Wowee.

And Ann wrote this book about Island life. It’s all a bit fascinating and I would like to see the film version please..!
