Anyone here ever see the movie Mon Oncle? It's French, often only available dubbed in English

Movie doesn't need dubbing. Completely understandable even if you don't speak/understand a word of French!

Mustn't harm poor Americans with the sound of anything other than English!

They are hilarious, and the jokes don't depend on language.they are not slapstick, just funny.

Be sure to see "Mr. Hulot's Holiday". The actor playing Hulot.is actually Tati himself.

Indeed, one need not know French to enjoy it. There are subtitled versions, though.
