(16,423 posts)I bought a mini-oven years ago. The manual said that before using it, one should run it on maximum heat for half an hour with the lid open, so the greasing oils can evaporate.

(16,334 posts)but it was old and seemed like it was on the fritz. Now if I ever smell a hint of smoke, I unplug and get rid if it. I always clean the lint filter but I think hair can get sucked inside and catch fire.
