No egg, but will add a biscuit, veggie and haven't decided on which type of potato. Doesn't really matter, as any type is good. I probably have this every couple months. Comfort food.

My only question is, what is it.

I know what it is. Whenever I've had it, it has been yummy, smothered in cream gravy. (Well, everything smothered in cream gravy is yummy. So there's that.)

I've always had it at dinner time. My fave...

* Chicken fried steak smothered in cream gravy.
* Fresh asparagus, served ones favorite way.
* Mashed potatoes, with their skins, also smothered in gravy.
* some yummy dessert, if one has room.

Oh my!!!

One for today and another for tomorrow...LOL!

Seriously, in life all things in moderation is the sensible way to live and maintain health and perspective. My problem has always been and will always be finding that right balance of moderation, self-control and self-indulgence...I rarely succeed, but I promise to keep trying until I am cold and stiff...after which I won't have any worries anyway!

Anything breaded and fried, especially with gravy, is just too much fat for my body to handle at one sitting. I would be running to the bathroom before I finished eating.

The thing is, I've never been big on fried foods, but I love salads. Even though I use healthy oils, like olive oil, to make my salad dressing, I have to be careful not to use too much.

When a new diner is found, a chicken fried steak will be tried, and the results will determine whether said diner is a place one might come back for future visits.

Its a rule.
