Sister in law sent gifts from Japan to Ottawa. It is an electric blanket.

I'm going to enjoy it while I watch tv. Cat is curious about the power cord. Cat has not yet figured out the warm blanket part. Anyone ever owned one? What do I need to be careful of?

Now he is sitting on the back of the couch staring at it. There must be a smell to the electricity or something.

I will enjoy it this winter when I am watching tv. Not something I would ever have bought for myself. But I feel blessed.

My favorite thing was to turn it on about 30 minutes before going to bed. Then when I got in bed it was all toasty warm all the down to my toes.

toasty, trusty electric blanket, I don't even care. I too turn mine on a bit before bed and leave it on all night. Not on very high but enough to stay cozy. The dogs and cat of course all insist on sleeping with us once the electric blanket comes out of the closet. It can get a little crowded but we are all very warm!! I love them.
