Weather permitting, of course...
I think Meryl is going to continue to amaze me with her portrayal of Kay Graham.
I lived through the whole Pentagon Papers thing but had no idea that Graham might have risked prison time to publish them...scary...

(31,121 posts)My local newspaper sub rates just doubled, and I complained because I wish they had stretched it out a bit or warned us so we could have prepaid under the old rate, but I will NEVER stop getting the paper unless it is bought out by a rightwing Nazi operation because the local newspaper might be our last chance at saving the democracy.

(23,337 posts)I can remember my mom folding laundry while being riveted to the hearings on our black and white TV. My dad would come home from work and be glued to the news and the wrap ups of the hearings and they would talk in hushed tones about our nation being in trouble and the unprecedented events of that time. It was frightening and it definitely woke me up politically. Sadly, my folks are long gone and I shudder to think about their reactions to the shit show we are enduring these days.

(10,533 posts)Definitely go see it. Bob Odenkirk has a fun role and Meryl is of course great, as is Tom Hanks.
Proud to be a WaPo subscriber.
