In this scene Jon snow is taking his first "elevator" ride up the Wall. The permanently frozen wall.
Got to be as cold there as it is in the north here, IRL.
So why no hat, gloves, on any of the men at the Wall? Ever! yet.
Thing like that could almost ruin the series. Sigh.
