No one honest can deny that our medical system overall is broken.

No one honest can deny that in the past (and present) mistakes, gross medical malpractice and simply unethical behavior existed and exists.

No one honest can deny that sometimes things happen for purely financial reasons, and not the best interests of the patient.

However..... let's not take out our fury on Aristus. He is NOT to blame. He also has never billed himself as an M.D or D.O physician. Never ever. He has always labelled himself accurately.

Let's direct our fury where it can do the most good, and not on Mr. Aristus.

I may have a very jaded view of many in the medical profession, but PAs are my preferred advisors. I have immense respect for the profession, and those who practice it.

13. Since I usually don't get into the lounge - this is great -

I subscribe to a few non-evidence-medicine sites - Orac, evidence-based-science, etc., it's really nice to see this in the DU forums.

Maybe this is common knowledge, but it seems that those that promote their own expensive snake-oil seem to be particularly lacking in human/social caring - perhaps being even a bit anti-social, repuglican. Almost always wanting less regulation, oversight, restriction on how they can fleece the vulnerable and collect huge payments for water/air/promises.
