Question.....sent a friend a 100 bill in her Christmas card on Tuesday

hoping she received it.....should I expect a thank you or not??? Do you possibly think someone might have absconded with it? Haven’t heard anything yet. Should I be worried??? Do I mention to her that I sent a card??? Is it to early to even get a response?? Thank you for your thoughts.

Did you do it specifically to earn a "thank you", or just to be generous and kind? Binkie The Clown Dec 2017 #8

it might ease your mind to give her a call. Personally, I never send cash unless it's dollar bills to my grandsons in their birthday cards. They're only 3 and 8 so wouldn't be that much of a loss....
It is the USPS's busiest time too.....

A thank you is a must imo....

Happy Holidays!

I fold the bill and put it in a regular larger card, not one of those cash-cards which seem to always be the same size

If it were me, I'd send the gift then forget about it. If I didn't get a thank you then it wouldn't matter to me, because I've already forgotten giving it.

The recipient.

I've had more than one pkg lost in the mail - even mailed bills, back in the pre-net days. The post office returned my IRS filing once! The pkg was badly torn!! Not making this up.

You made an offensive assumption.

now be quiet about it and don't lose her friendship over an overt thank you.

give like you can afford it and no thanks are needed.

But that's just me.

saying thank you, and that I was her best customer.......she is my hairdresser, and has had just a horrible 2017. So I feel great she got it and that it helped her have a better Christmas.
