(25,902 posts)I tried to see if there was a calendar out there that has this year as 3978. No luck there.
If you were on a planet a bit less than 2,000 light years from earth, light from our sun that left in 1999 would just now be reaching you. But that doesn't help me name who you are. At least I think you want a specific name, like the ones given above.

And I'll add that another Astronaut from another sci fi franchise confirmed this in another movie. Dr. Spock.
