My boyfriend and I gave my 87 year old mother her Christmas gift early....

We gave her a google home mini. We thought it would it would help with her her memory lapses. It would allow her to have daily reminders for taking her medicine, she could list a grocery list. She could have reminders for her to call her kids and grand kids on their birthdays, anniversaries etc. She's been having some fun with it.

On Monday she called me and she asked me what her name is, I said whose name and she answered that thing you guys gave me for Christmas. I said Google and she said that's it I just couldn't remember it.

So much for helping her with her memory. lol

Your story reminded me of a conversation with Dad after we got him a special telephone that was compatible with his hearing aid.

We were chatting one day and he kept telling me to speak up. I told him to turn up his hearing aid.

"That won't do any good," he said. When I asked why, he answered with "Because it's in the other ear!"
