Am I the only one who will unblock ads on a site on request ?

I admit, I'm a big softie, so if they ask me nicely, I will unblock the ads. However, some sites are just so OMFG filled with ads that I refuse to unblock unless they force me to.

How about you ?

If they are like those over the top filled with ads I boycott the site.

plenty other sites got what you got. If I get to a totally unique site with content I can't find anywhere else, then maybe I'll do it but so far, nope.

I block ads on everything else. That's the only thing that makes clicking on the external links people post here on DU tolerable. I have zero tolerance for noisy moving advertisements, which is one reason I don't watch television at all.

Most of the sites I regularly visit are technical and any advertising they have is highly focused and unobtrusive.

I don't block advertising on wunderground, where I'll occasionally suffer some obnoxious advertising, but mostly I get ads that reflect my browsing of technical sites, or ads for charities like the Salvation Army.
