I just found out why Paul McCartney attended the Harvard-Yale Game a month ago...

There was a beefed up police presence at The Game this year in the Yale Bowl and I asked one why. He said because Malia Obama (freshman at Harvard this year) was there and so was Paul. We couldn't figure out why McCartney was there.

Who do you root for?

My ex husband (big Harvard man) at our daughter's Thanksgiving would usually taunt me if Harvard beat Yale. Things would get a bit tense and finally our daughter forbade any conversation about the game. We have some Yalie friends but no other connection (except we live in New Haven).

Made me wonder why he was there. Such questions almost invariably go unanswered.
