"The more I learn the less I know" is certainly a true statement about music. back when I was a 30 y.o. with 1200 LPs and an attitude, I thought I knew a lot about the blues.

Then came the internet and suddenly I was dumb as shit...

I thought I had heard all the blues I ever needed to hear. Turns out I was just bored of that Memphis/Chicago electric blues that has been strip-mined for a half-century now. Discovering the sheer variety of old acoustic blues has been one of the best parts of the internet.

And yeah, love Fred McDowell and R.L. Burnside, such an awesome rhythmic drive in that style.
