Google is my handyman

The hot and cold water in my kitchen stopped while I was washing a few dishes.
I put in a call to our maintenence man, and left a message.

Then I noticed the water in the bathroom was working fine.
So I googled “no water in kitchen but bathroom water OK”.

It suggested a calcium buildup in the kitchen faucet.
I have a Pur water filter attached to the faucet. Periodically I change the filter, but have not removed the section attached to the faucet since installing the filter two years ago.

Sure enough, there was a collection of green gunk on the screen where the two parts meet.
I took a Q-tip, cleaned it out, and now the water works fine.

Called the maintenence man (again), and left a message.
Said “Fuhgettaboutit.

For just about any home, appliance, car repair, etc. And they can be very specific- down to the make and model number. The intertubes strike again!
