Extremely stressed and would appreciate a bit of advice

Is there anyway to sell a plane ticket purchased off of Travelocity? It won't be used and I am out 500 bucks if not. I am blinded by emotions at this moment and my thoughts are insane. To much to even start browsing around for an answer.

Thanks for any help

My concern is that the ticket is under a name. How would someone else use it? The instructions are to show ID at the ticket counter.

Maybe I can call the airline and plead for a refund? Its still a month out and hope they will be cool and try and sell that seat again.

Any other ideas?
