I am proud of Washingtons' Lummi Native Americans

Frankin fish Cook and company offered the Lummi nation big bucks if they would not fight fish farming. The Lummi nation told them no way. I have respect for this Nation that would not sell its soul. Too bad the white man doesn't seem to be honest with themselves. A century ago Chief Black Eagle said to the white man "you take from each other, we do not want to live that way." The Native has respect for the earth and its creatures. The salmon and coho are diminishing. to have fish farming in Washington State even for what little it gets is the white man taking from each other. I want to see all the Native Tribes get off their tail feathers and support the Lummi and honor the beauty of their race.

Port Angeles had a meeting last week to discuss fish pens, especially Cook's. Local tribes were represented as well as some from British Columbia.
