If you check out the song's Wikipedia page, the story behind the video is almost as funny as the video itself. The station that asked for the video thought that Hall and Oates were crazy, and they tried to get the song banned from airplay in Philadelphia.

I had no idea that Hall and Oates were such chill and funny dudes. They were trolling MTV long before MTV was even created.

I have always heard their songs played on the radio, but I've only heard a few songs from them, and those few songs are played over and over on the radio. It dawned on me that, if I like all of those songs that I've heard, maybe I might like some of their other songs that I never heard about. And so now I am exploring the song catalog of Hall & Oates.
