Turn your clocks back this weekend (ha ha)

In the 1990s I worked with a guy who told me he gets up at 2 A.M. to change all their clocks at home.
A day or so later his wife stopped in to take him to lunch and, chuckling, I mentioned it to her.

She said “Well, that’s when they change.”

Obviously a couple meant for each other.

Arizona doesn't change but the rest of the world does as this screws up my TV programming.

On this weekend. A 12 hr shift becomes 13. Have to double-check "timecards" for that extra hour.

We did get paid that extra hour.

What I hated was when the 7 A.M. shift came on after the clocks had been turned ahead one hour in the Spring.

Even though warned ahead of time, someone always showed up an hour late for work claiming they forgot to turn the clocks ahead.
It was usually the slackers who called in sick a lot, etc.

Mostly, "when" you change the time doesn't matter. But for bars, it's an opportunity to sell for another hour. Gain an hour in the fall, but don't lose an hour in the spring. Bartender magic.
