Harry Reid Lambasts GOP After Hagel Vote Blocked: ‘Just When You Thought Things Couldn’t Get Worse’

VIDEO here: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/harry-reid-lambasts-gop-after-hagel-vote-blocked-just-when-you-thought-things-couldnt-get-worse/

The Senate failed to move forward on Thursday with the confirmation of former Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE) to replace Leon Panetta as the next Secretary of Defense. Just after the Senate Republicans blocked a vote to move forward with Hagel’s nomination, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) took to the floor of the upper chamber to admonish his GOP colleagues for ratcheting up “the level of obstruction here in Washington.” -snip-

Pres Obama was just now on TV (MSNBC had a clip) bashing the Republicans regarding the filibuster.

The GOP is going to look really bad over this BS they are pulling.

....but they *should* have paid a hefty price in 2010 as well, but the Democrats were (as usual) too goddamn timid to fight.

So I mostly think you're right, but am holding out a bit of hope, and as I type this, I'm realizing that that probably just makes me a sucker.
