They will not only escape US corporate and income taxes, they will also escape many environmental and labor regulations world wide since they are not headquartered in the countries where they actually do business.
You bet this is a dodge, a big one. It shouldn't be able to proceed not even on a limited basis, say on a 5 year lease (which is how long it would take people who were dumb enough to move there to crack up and either off themselves or go back to a high tax hell). It would set a precedent for other dodges in countries that are far needier, like Zimbabwe or Mali, countries that would be thrilled to lease large parcels of land for corporate greedheads to have mail drops.
This is not a proposal that is being taken seriously, so there's nothing we have to worry about.
you never know what a moneygrubbing Republican will vote in favor of if the bribes are big enough.

The results were predictable to anyone who had not partook of the Fleur-De-Lis flavored Kewl-Aid.
Why not call it Camelot or Atlantis or Shangrala or Gotham or El Dorado or any of the mythical cities that mankind has fantasized about down through the ages?
Or we can finally face reality that this project has been tried several times in the past and the result has always been the same,failure.
