on Monday Morning after a holiday weekend.

Guns don't just kill. They destroy lives, waste talent and are dividing the country. It is time to, as they say, "bite the bullet," and do something to end all this waste.

Banning all guns is not the answer.

Requiring that guns be registered and that any person with a gun on a street or outside a private home or place where armed security has been permitted can be stopped by the police and asked for a copy of the gun registration. We should at least require as much of gun owners as we do of car owners. An officer can stop you in your car to check your registration on just about any suspicion about your driving. Why not have that same low threshold for stopping people who are carrying weapons?
