(51,609 posts)Thank you for the post, and reminding us what an inspiring, transformational figure he was. We need this man now more than ever. What a horrible, horrible loss that he was taken from us at only 39 years old.

(8,244 posts)So true. To think if he were alive he would be only 83 years old and could still be participating and leading. I think a lot about where we could be today if MLK had been able to live and continue his work for the past 40 years. We could have made so much progress. To be honest I think we would be living in a very different world from the one we have now, a much better world.
