Yes, the Emergency Manager bill should be of concern to everybody and, as you point out, if it didn't offend democracy, it's still a crony capitalist's wet dream.

This is strictly my opinion, but since the constitution guarantees the citizens of each state that the state shall have a republican form of government, I believe that the President should send federal troops to any town or district under an emergency manager under this law in order to restore the local elected official ousted from power by gubernatorial fiat.
