Is he unhappy that other religions are insufficiently persecuted of late?

Failure to persecute somebody else does not constitute persecution of YOU, dickwad.

Spewing every false GOP meme and giving no credit whatsoever to Obama for what he has managed to accomplish.

Can we stop with the "Jimmy Carter like" meme? Reagan/Bush screwed him with secret deals with the Iranians. The President of the US whether they are Dem or GOP has very little ability to influence the supply and price of oil and thus gasoline prices.

Early in the existence of the US we signed a treaty with Tripoli in which we specifically stated: "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen."

Yes, people can argue this is a relatively unimportant document and the only document that specifically states the US not a Christian Nation. But it is still a treaty ratified by two thirds of our Senate as all treaties must be. So even though Christianity was the prevailing religion at the time and most likely a majority of the population felt that the Christian God had delivered the much weaker colonies from their oppressors the British our government said otherwise.

We're not a "post-Christian" nation because we were never a "Christian" nation. As fewer and fewer people get dragged to church on Sundays and Wednesday nights the Christian right knows they're losing control and they're scared shitless.

We need more of these conversations. Kudos to both the host and the guest for agreeing to talk.

But what does Benghazi have to do with America being a Christian nation anyways? ....So it was because it was under Obama's watch? But I thought he was a Christian? ....Oh...he's a fake Christian, he's really a Muslim. And if its just because it was under his watch...wasn't a much larger terrorist attack ON AMERICAN SOIL overseen by a true born again believer? Trouble is the wingnuts are so conflated with hundreds of talking points, mostly false, that they can't even string one logical line of thought without derailing it with these myths.
