(51,122 posts)When will the Atheist religion be represented at the White House!!?
...heh.
AlbertCat
(17,505 posts)Never
Because Atheism isn't any kind of religion.
And all I saw were garlands and the pagan Tannenbaum.
And a wish for JOY to EVERYONE.
What religious symbols?
Well, I suppose "dog" is "god" backwards.

(306 posts)There are atheists all around us. The problem
is they are unaware of their atheism. Each
time they recite our anthem they pledge atheism.
The deity is understood to be GOD. If you understand
GOD you do not say I pledge allegiance to God. If you
pledge then you doubt. If you put GOD on your
flag or your money you do not have faith. Faith is
like affection ... it is natural.

God ain't nothing more than dog spelled backwards.
Soon to be a book.

(34,582 posts)what is this religion you speak of? As far as the decorations go, those trace back to pagans.

(429 posts)I didn't see any decorations that had anything to do with the Christian aspect of Christmas. The trees, lights, garland, etc, etc., are derived more from the pagan celebration of the holiday.

(1,663 posts)Sometimes I think they behave better.
We had a family of crows on our property and they did things I just thought were really curious. I then read about how smart crows are and know how they recognize and interact with individual humans.. I asked my mother who grew up on a farm and she verified some of their habits.
I wonder if Bo disapproved of anything and left his mark

(31,849 posts)any one of my three dogs would have left a "present" on the tree.
(They are 11 year old, male, Poodles that refuse to be housebroken. Everytime they come close, one will forget his manners and the other two will follow behind to add their contribution. BTW, does anyone know whether it's too late? Or, should I just resign myself to daily "pee pee patrol?"

(320 posts)I saw a poodle at the dog park the other day with a shaggy cut and I thought that he was a Portuguese water dog. They can be easily mistaken for each other.

(205,536 posts)He came from rescue and had never been housebroken before, had been a "stud dog" at a "commercial kennel." He was rescued after he became too old and found me. I had him for eight wonderful years, had such a sweet temperament and was the best dog I ever had for not going in the house. It just took patience and a schedule.

(3,297 posts)That cut gives his paws the oddest look.

(1,328 posts)over the edge. Last year they had a fit because he was on the Christmas card and they had handmade replicas of him around the decorations.
They were made out of garbage bags etc. by volunteers, cost us nothing but the rw was screaming about it anyway.
They cannot love anything except themselves. I love Bo and so glad to see they treat him like a member of the family.

(17,505 posts)Well, at least there were no crack pipes on the tree....
