I like it. Thinking of what I'm thankful for... there are so many things. Too many to list, this year, when, for the first time in my life I feel thankful rather than depressed.
I'm thankful for the opportunity for higher education - to be living in a Nation that has made an investment in me, enabling me to go to college even though I'm poor. This investment that I intend to eventually repay tenfold.
I'm thankful for my family who's encouragement and help over the years and now enables me to be optimistic, hopeful... to have faith in myself and in humanity. I'm thankful for my parents who have worked so hard over the years to provide a home for my sisters and I to grow up in.
I'm thankful to America for voting to re-elect President Obama, for demonstrating that we really DO want to move forward.
Most of all I'm thankful to our men and women serving in the military, here and abroad... for their sacrifice, their honor and their courage. Thank you, if you didn't do what you do, I couldn't do what I do.
