Find a guy who can smile while lying and obfuscating. Checkered shirt, open collar, no tie.

stores have to lower their wages to compete with Walmart, the race to the bottom.

getting the lies down,

this assclown dodged the 15k question, the healthcare cost question and danced around the rest while

touting the great experience one should expect on the black friday go in debt day.

Yeah, they're not quaking in their boots but they are seeing holes in the dike appearing.

GO WORKERS.

It is only a very small percentage of their employees that make more than $12 an hour, but when you throw in a few wealthy executives and the average pay rises very quickly.

The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not define full-time employment or part-time employment. This is a matter generally to be determined by the employer.

http://www.dol.gov/dol/topic/workhours/full-time.htm#.UKxQ1Yf_qJI

So let us say that 20 hours a week is full time at $12 an hour after 33% deductions "take home pay" equals... $160 a week ... for 50 weeks is $ 8K or 25 hours at $12 after 33% for 50 weeks is $ 10K and 30 hours a week at $ 12 an hour...$12 K for 50 weeks....SWEET JESUS.

I'm surprised the guy hasn't lost his job. For being a "Vice President of Communications" he is defensive, unfriendly, seems uncomfortable communicating with the public (ie. his audience) and appears more interested in promoting black friday than taking the opportunity to COMMUNICATE a truth other than pulling numbers out of his pocket.

I guess his apparently caustic personality are a trademark of the corporation itself.

Interesting watching...

How many of your employees are collecting food stamps and Medicaid and why is it that you have people in Human Resources helping them sign up for them? WalMart has thousands of employees collecting these benefits provided by the govt. All at taxpayers expense. The American taxpayer has basically been subsidizing their labor costs. No wonder the Walton families collective wealth is the same as the lowest 35% of the population. I swear I will NEVER darken WalMart's doorstep ever again. Evil Bastards!

The VP from WAL*MART was trying to ignor questions, or brush them off to make his free ad on CNN. My fav. part was him braggin' about the "STRICT RETALIATION POLICY, 'em antiretaliation policy". Now what would Dr. Freud say about that? I also am taking the permanent boycott pledge, unless a miracle unfolds that brings WAL*MART back into resonable policies like allowing a union, treating their employees with respect and acknowledging that workers have RIGHTS, like having a water break when working 12 hr warehouse shifts in 100+ degees! I'm 64, don't know if I'll live that long!

unions are bringing up are true. They pulled the schedule switcheroo on me. When I started there they told me that I would be on first shift so that I could attend college. 3 months in, they told me that I would have to go on 2nd shift. I told them that it wasn't possible, because I would not be able to attend class. They told me that I would lose my job if I didn't go to 2nd.

I quit.

The only reason Waltons make so much money is because they pay their employees so, so little.

Then run them down in their cars after drinking all night. Ok, only a few Waltons do that.
