(1,739 posts)he moved everything to radio one and got from underneath clear channel. radio one is a black owned entity with tv and radio stations across the country. this has saved black activist radio-tom joyner and michael baisden. progressives have start to get their own. al gore did on tv but it is not enough. we have to fight from the outside, cant fight them on their won airwaves.

when I took civics in 9th grade, the teacher explained the importance of a free press. what ever happened, that that is no longer relevant to Democracy?weren't their laws against corporate media takeover in the past?

I actually started this before KPOJ went down because I'm in a temp living situation with a tea-bagger. All I hear is hate radio from Huckabee,Limp-butt, and all the R-W bottom feeders. Just absolute garbage from people who don't give a shit about this country. I'm sick of it. We scored a touchdown last Tuesday. No reason why we can't score another one (Coach Chip Kelly of Oregon): "score, score, score".
