If the 2010 republican gerrymander hadn't taken place, Democrats would have taken control of the House back this year.

(19,326 posts)This really does border on treason, as in "enemies .. domestic".
Nothing but contempt for the newly democratically elected POTUS.
The Heritage Foundation is exposing itself here to be a domestic
terrorist organization IMHO.

(1,372 posts)and get thm all together to hash out the specifics and then tutor our congress as to the
various paths that may be taken to resolve our financial problems.
Why do the half-baked continue to argue with the half-brained over finances when
they are mostly driven by special interest groups and self interest?
There will be no clearly logical path forward from our congress!
Any decision will not totally benefit the American people without
being tainted by self interest and partisan desires.
We need to decide on the "correct path" by using a new process!
We haven't elected our congress from a criminal population
it's just that many in our congress have similar personality
flaws and they haven't yet been caught and convicted as of yet.
Let's push for true change so we can truely benefit the American people!
Let's have the professors who teach finance help our congress choose the
best path forward!

(13,297 posts)A video camera, stock footage and CD's with orchestral music will win the war! Yes indeed. I seem to remember a musically-inspired video with the same feel by Tim Pawlenty...
Uh, that was highly effective....

(257 posts)The problem is that you got your balls stomped.
I don't mind kicking you in the balls again and again and again.
Maybe once you understand that most people aren't in the 1% you will stop allowing us to kick you in the balls.
I kind of look forward to it. How about you?

If they want war - then give them war - give them hell and give them what they deserve... This is maybe just the first shoot in a long, brutal and hard war for what USA is - but it is a war worth fighting - and winning..
The "conservatives" from Heritage foundation, and the other groups who is calling them selfs conservatives is not conservative at all - they are neo-conservatives on the brink of nazism and fascism.. If they have not turned over that road and is leafing with neo-nazism as part of their ideology..
Other way, they need to be stopped - as old FDR had to do when he was fighting the same "conservatives" in the 1930s... They are a evil who will turn the world into a very dark place if they ever got their way... So the "good fight" have to be fight all over again... As "we" the people in US and abroad did at our grandfathers time... We have to fight the same war all over again - as we seen to have forgotten how evil looks, and sound... Even I who live thousands of miles from USA, know what evil looks - and the "conservatives" in the US indeed looks and sounds like pure evil to me..

(22,671 posts)Stay vigilant and safe everyone. When the unstable few find their world crumbling, they lash out in unpredictable ways.
I think they were the same way in 1992 & 1993 and it resulted in the longest economic expansion is US history among other things. And I seem to remember one of the loudest fights in 2001 between the two parties at the time was what we would spend all the surpluses on.
Look it up.

The punk graduated college in 2004 and has spent his entire adult life sucking at the teat of conservatives orgs in Washington. Conspicuously absent from his resume is military service. The closest he's gotten to a uniform is walking past a doorman.
He's still of military age. Let's send Heritage Action for America some enlistment papers for him. And pass his name on to some Army recruiters.

Pretty obviously putting himself into position to run for office.

Seriously, I'm glad he was honest enough to admit that he and his goobermensches see themselves at war with us. We shouldn't laugh that off, but bring it to them, if that's what they want.
