Powell's presentation at the UN of Iraqi WMD was a complete disgrace to himself and to our country.
That presentation was, in part, responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans and untold thousands of Iraqis.
It was a lie and I want to know why a Former Joint Chief of Staff brought himself to iterate such nonsense in front of the whole world.
-------
There is a valuable lesson for Americans that he is not sharing. Was he honestly duped? Was he pressured? Was he simply mistaken about the concept of 'duty'? What was he thinking?
Until he helps us come to grips with one of the darkest hours in our history he will be on the wrong side of it.
