hash capsules. I have stage 4 cervical cancer...I bet if he or one of his loved ones were diagnosed with something like AIDS, cancer, MS, etc, he would get it for them, "quietly", trust me.

My wife (chemo patient) was given Marinol in the hospital for appetite enhancement. She ate more the first day in the hospital than she did all week at home. I ask her chemo doc to give her some to take at home. She was supposed to call in a script, but hasn't yet, so we'll see today if she gets some. Believe me, when someone is taking chemo, they need it...desperately! In my wife's case, it's a life and death situation. I watched her withering away at home because she could/would not eat. We came home yesterday from the hospital and she is back to not eating. We have no access to MM in Texas. They had rather you die rather than prove them wrong about marijuana. Anyone that tells me it has no medical benefit will be wiping spit from their face.

If only being a congressman would cause cancer, they would legalize it so fast your head would spin. I have no idea what the MArinol costs because I haven't seen the bill yet, but I believe all states should legalize MM. I have never been arrested for anything in my 57 yrs, but I would go to jail if it meant my wife's health would benefit from it. I wouldn't know where to get any pot, or even if there is any MM grade stuff available around here. So, my only hope is she will get a script to MArinol or any other drug that will make her eat again. People just don't understand the need. When your body is swolen with ascites (fluid build up due to cancerous lesions on the liver) it compresses the stomach making the patient feel "full" all the time, so they do not eat, and they do not get the nutrients they need to produce the white blood cells that are being wasted fighting the chemo that is shrinking the cancerous lesions on their organs. That is a dangerous situation that can cause death fast!

Imagine an influenza epidemic and the government refused to legalize any vaccines to prevent it. That's what it feels like.

mean about the MM to help with appetite. How is your wife doing by the way? She's been in my thoughts and prayers. Did you notice the post I sent you regarding Wheatgrass protecting the bone marrow during chemo and radiotherapy? IIt's in the Cancer forum. I was diagnosed with stage IV cervical cancer and trust me, I know about appetite support, trust me.

...and thought I had read every thread on that forum. I'll go look for it. I know you know about it, but it's those who have never been confronted with the need that need education about it.

They let her come home yesterday, although she is very weak and her WBC counts are dropping. The platelet transfusion helped for a couple of days, but they are short lived. She only has a few days left before the next chemo. If people realized the helplessness one feels to help a dying family member, they would demand legalization of MM worldwide. Painkillers are abused, too, but they are not outlawed because they work for those who need them. What's the difference? If a doctor says a patient needs it, dammit, you give it to em!

...and it says it is a hormone therapy. Since her breast cancer feeds on hormones, I don't think she could take it, but I'm not a doctor.. I'll ask her chemo doc about it. Thanks.

I was going to PM you to ask if you know what a good brand of wheatgrass shots is. I saw lots of sites that sell wheatgrass shots, but I have no idea which are good or bad. It sounds like it may be very beneficial to my wife.

Essentially he said that he didn't give 3/10 of rat's ass directly to a dying young man.

He is detestable.

PEACE!

...to break it, why is ignorance of medical fact accepted as a reason to ban beneficial treatment? Of course, it shouldn't be. People are still lliving in the sixties when it comes to their knowledge of marijuana and it's benefits to the human race. Ignorance is the only excuse I can come up with for them. "Forgive them for they know not".

I'm more in the "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!" camp.

What's it called when a person knows no compassion for another's suffering?
