Orly Taitz agrees to make a date night with Stephanie Miller and President Obama

Stephanie speaks with Orly Taitz, an outspoken proponent of the birther movement and Founder of the Defend Our Freedoms Foundation, about the latest in the movement. Stephanie tells Taitz about how she just sprang for really big fundraising tickets for a President Obama event and says it would be good publicity for the both if they went together. Taitz agrees to go with security, but in the end, Miller jokes and says she was just kidding. Every weekday morning on Current TV at 9e/6p

She wasn't even born in the US but have the nerve to go after someone who has all because of his looks and name. Shameful.

First of all, the people who regularly listen to Stephanie Miller aren't in danger of being swayed by anything this woman says. They will, however, risk being entertained.

And, secondly, I think it is great that Stephanie can have someone like this on her show, treat her with respect (although, let's face it, we liberals have our own little 'dog whistles', too) and get her to relax enough to actually enjoy herself, too. This isn't the kind of treatment the righties expect.

How often do you see anyone of a liberal bend invited onto a right wing show and given the time to speak their piece WITHOUT being shouted down, name called, and disrespected. This isn't the only right winger Stephanie has on her show and she treats them all with great humor and, I'll say it again, respect.

It ruined my morning drive. And as far as being nice to Repukes, that gets you nowhere with them. Taitz thought she was doing Stephanie a favor, not the other way around. I agree we should treat them (everyone) with respect, but you shouldn't give them a platform, not when RW radio dominates the airwaves and progressive voices are so few and far between.

I did hear the first time she was on and I couldn't help but laugh.

Orly is doing her cause far more harm than good, since most of the right wing flees from any connection. I think that Stephanie is the only one who gives her any airtime, now, so she's definitely not reaching what ever base she has left.

But, I do understand how you feel. I think what I find so funny is how Stephanie, Chris and Jim can say some snortingly funny things, during the interview, and it seems to fly right over Orly's head.

I just thought: if Stephanie thinks she can sway Orly to the other team, it just ain't gonna happen. It can only backfire with these people as Orly puts her 'special' spin on any endeavor Stephanie makes. But I could be wrong. I agree: Tates is just a media clown- why or how she got notoriety, I can't even guess.

Taitz has what John Lennon called in one of his poems, a "large blonde hair."
Cheap bleach jobs make all one's hairs the same color. No depth--just like Orley's thinking.

you can be born abroad to US parents and have a birth certificate from the State Department "US citizen born abroad". When I was stationed overseas, many of my co worker's kids have those. My niece has one. Mitt's dad ran for president as a dual citizen, since Mexico has birth right citizenship, making him a natural born US and Mexican.

As Taitz is a huge joke herself, you'd think she would have recognized that she was the brunt of this one. I guess hubris deducts IQ points.

Orly was not born to american parents and became a naturalized US citizen as a adult. Her family moved to Israel after they left the Soviet Union then she emigrated to the US later.
