(7,968 posts)It should have been overturned on replay!
I didn't have TV so I had my internet "game tracker" on. Now I understand why it passed so long after the "Touchdown" before the extra point. I was cheering for Seattle but jeez that was a badly blown call. At least the fact that it wasn't overturned on Replay.

(4,558 posts)There was a video from another angle that you could watch after this one. It was more apparent in that one. Green Bay had the ball.

(13,200 posts)turn off the TV and not show up at the stadium. (You know how much they make off those $8 hot dogs?) Stop buying memorabilia. (Do you really need another $80 team shirt?) A few weeks of that treatment and the owners would be crying to settle at generous terms with the refs. But the American sports fans can't forgo their twice weekly football fix, so that ain't gonna happen. Nice to dream about...

(21 posts)When will the players UNION tell the players to sit on the side lines and wait for the real ref's. What a picture next Thursday night all the players sitting on the bench and no one takes the field. That would be a message!

(1,648 posts)The Pat/Ravens game was called terribly the entire game, even the announcers said the zebras were not qualified. Vote with your remote. Turn the fake officials and the games OFF. Let the NFL know and your FB folks too.

(21,925 posts)The earlier call of pass interference against GB was atrocious and was so obvious you could spot it on a small tv screen from across the room without even the need for the replay.

(911 posts)I cant tell or see from those 2 clips but if the WR has his hands on the ball also then its a TD. Offense gets the call

(5,856 posts)more egregious. I'm just happy my moods are not dictated by professional sports.
The rule is:
If a pass is caught simultaneously by two eligible opponents, and both players retain it, the ball belongs to the passers, the rule states. It is not a simultaneous catch if a player gains control first and an opponent subsequently gains joint control.
Jennings had possession - he grabbed it and wrapped both had and clutched it to his chest. Golden then had one hand on the ball from behind - then his hand came off completely - then he put it back on as the referees had simultaneous conflicting calls - Interception/Touchback vs. Touchdown.
Ask any NFL person - the Packers were robbed.

(911 posts)It looked like both players had their hands on it and when they hit the ground then the green bay guy pulled it to his chest. But at 1st both players had control
the WR had his hands on the ball and both his feet touch. So once they hit the ground its already a TD. dont matter if green bay guy pulled the ball in

(3,300 posts)Ask Steve Mariuchi, Steve Young, Peter King, Trent Dilfer, just about every NFL player except Tate Golden agrees that it was an interception. But you believe what you want.
