I mean that is where all his "street cred" for improving washington and improving the economy came from and it was all lies.

to change the narrative, curry sympathy with whiner supporters, take the focus off COVID. Republicans are experienced manipulators of public opinion. A big event drop can be played or pushed in any direction you want. All you need is plausible deniability and a good front story. The details, the truth don't matter.

Those are the voters that can swing WI, MI, PA.... not the wealthy ones.

I don't think the tax returns will affect the votes of the wealthy either way.

People don’t understand branding/marketing Principles, and Trump’s use/misuse of them. This guy does, at least on this one issue.

The number $750 means nothing to most Trump supporters, so they will try to convince undecided voters the $750 number means what they define it to mean. In this case, $750 means “Trump is a great businessman, earning billions and paying less in taxes”.

His base loves that.

Especially if lots of the American people are dead, disabled (long haulers), broke, etc.!..
