Col. Sanders just gave his "I'm really your best friend" speech in the wrong damned chicken coup!

This is what happened when Ryan broke cardinal rule number one of running a Republican election campaign. DO NOT, under any circumstances, attempt to give your "low information voters" speech to a group of people who are actually NOT 'low information voters.' Get it? It's fairly simple.

It's fine for Colonel Sanders to give his speech on "I really have the best interests of the chickens in mind" to a gaggle of ducks. But don't try it inside a chicken coup. These people actually LOVE 'Socialized Medicine.' As far as your concerned, your job is to continue to fool them into believing that Medicare is NOT REALLY AN EXAMPLE of Socialized Medicine. Stick to the script, pretty boy.

when all you do is watch FoxNews, you forget there are daily papers that bring the facts to light

I wonder what newspapers Ryan reads.... the same ones Sarah Palin read?

RELIES on, and is familiar with. Much better to give it to an audience who doesn't.

Frankly, I'm not surprised he got booed. I'm just completely dumbstruck over the fact that he actually agreed to give a SPEECH to the AARP! Talk about hubris.

It would have been much worse had they stayed and joined the chorus I imagine

But still, he really looked like an amateur snake oil pitchman doing a late-night TV commercial for a used, stained snuggy.

They were not buyin' it

You see? They just want to be dependent on government. They take no responsibility for themselves. We shouldn't be concerned about moochers? Who told them they could retire, anyway?

On what planet? This is one of the creepiest guys to watch shoveling what ever he is trying to shovel (Mitt, twitt, or something rhymyer) that I have ever seen elevated into the national discussion. First he takes social security and then denounces it, then, he takes what he now calls a government hand out without so much as a stutter. Does anyone with a brain believe he would give up his government, taxpayer supported health care to help ease the debt or even help another person?
