A video tribute to the unspeakable, soul-crushing awkwardness and general vapidity of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

This video was posted in Jan. 2012.

Just think of all the additional awkward moments he had since then

together--not like the Obamas, who touch as though they often touch each other affectionately, and who gaze into each other's eyes and speak sotto voce to each other as if they are in the habit of communicating privately and lovingly, even when others are nearby.

Even in the segments where Mitt's arm is draped over the sofa behind Ann, the position seems posed, and she does not look at him. Bmost of the time each occupies a separate bubble of space, and Ann's hands are clasped in her lap, closed off from contact with Mitt.

We who are severely hearing impaired are pretty sensitive to body language, because we have to combine a multitude of subtle clues to help us interpret what we are getting from lipreading and from the limited sounds we are able to hear.

Those of you who can hear normally might try watching the video with the sound turned off to see what I mean.
