NBC Today: COVID-19 Parties in Alabama

Well, I guess since the President's New talking point is that the spread is not that big of a deal because COVID-19 is harmless from 99 percent of people, particularly young people, this was bound to happen.

I'd like to think that George Carlin was talking specifically about Americans when he said those prophetic words.

10. I think Carlin predicted this. He warned us about the rich and their greed and stupidity.

When you don't really have to work hard, sweat, worry about making enough money to pay for this week's bills, then you don't understand how most of us have lived.

He saw this coming and warned us a long time ago. We should have listened.

stupidity. Even if a vaccine happens half of them won't take it because they'll say they're anti-vaxxers.

I ran into one of them the other day and asked her that very question. She said she wouldn't take a covid vaccine because her diet would protect her. She also said she was a vegetarian. I said so you still eat fish and eggs? She said no. I said well aren't you a vegan then? She didn't seem to know the difference. She also said she was a green party member because the Democrats and repugs are the same. This all came out in a five minute phone call.

That was too much for me.

7. Were the attendees University of Alabama students and/or faculty?

Or just anonymous Tuscaloosa residents?

I went to the University of Alabama, a LONG time ago. College students and faculty are supposed to be intelligent people, but it's difficult to conceive of a level of utter STUPIDITY that beats this.

But one life lesson I learned long ago is that no matter how stupid it is, that doesn't mean somebody isn't going to do it.
