It's his racism. Obama, our first black president, got it passed, and Trump can't stand to be made to look bad by a black man. Trump also probably considers Obama to be an illegitimate president due to his birtherism. The truth is - Trump is our first illegitimate president, since he was put in the White House by the Russians. His fragile ego is also very wrapped up in this. And he knows that his Republican base is also fiercely devoted to getting rid of the Affordable Care Act - heck, they tried to get rid of it umpteen times, too many times to count. Sure, Trump's a sociopath and lacks empathy - so how can you expect him to show compassion and not be cruel?

It's a good question. Perhaps because those of us who have some empathy don't really understand how anyone can NOT have even just a little? It's pretty unsettling, and that is simply NOT the kind of person the country deserves in the White House as president. On that we all should be able to agree, even the rightwingnuts.
