Related: About this forumLincoln Project ad: Leadership
I was born during President Eisenhower's first term, and I remember the kind of leader he was. As opposed to "this coward."
"No, I don't take responsibility at all!"

If you have never read or heard it, then go to the Lincoln Memorial. Go all the way up the steps. It is written on the wall inside. I promise you, that speech is well worth the climb.

Eisenhower was a man of great integrity and his willingness to take full responsibility for whatever was about to happen on June 6, 1944 was, and remains, a profile in courage to which we should all aspire....even the occupant of the White House.
